Hello! I’m Roxann and I am thrilled to invite you to be a part of my dream, a quilting and crafting retreat.
As a little girl, I spent summers at my grandparents’ home in Northern Wisconsin, and remember my Grandmother working on a quilt project during our visit. I recall her tracing a 4×4 metal plate (cut from sheet metal). I helped her machine stitch three sides of the tufts, hand stitch the fourth side and then hand stitch the filled blocks together. After that experience, my interest in fabric craft was piqued. To this day, I’m like a kid in a fabric store!
Throughout the years I sewed consistently (mostly costumes and clothes for my children), but didn’t find my way back to quilting until about four years ago when my dear friend Charlene invited me to a retreat. I was hooked.
In December 2014, my husband and I went searching for the perfect space to accommodate every quilters needs. When I stepped into what is now the On Pins and Needles crafting room, I said to myself, “this is my retreat”. Renovations began in March of 2015 and we haven’t looked back since!
